I am writing from Jubilee Storehouse the food bank in Aberystwyth.
When we started the food bank in 2011, we had no idea of the increasing demand there would be in Aberystwyth and the surrounding area. But we were also unaware of the amazing generosity of the people in Aberystwyth.
We know some of the people, groups and organisations who provide food items and money for the food bank, but we know there are many who donate anonymously. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who donate.
This Christmas we have been astounded by the amount of food, toiletries and Christmas goodies that have been given.
Without your donations week by week the food bank would quickly grind to a halt and we are so grateful for your support and encouragement.
For those who are unaware, food can be left at St Anne’s Church, Penparcau or the Budgens store on Park Avenue. In 2017 we hope to increase the number of public collection points. Please see our Facebook page.
