MANAGER Colin Caton has added a second new signing to his Bala Town squad, with the arrival of Eddie Toner at Maes Tegid from Marine.
A 24-year-old central midfielder, Toner has done the rounds of the northern non-league circuit, starting out at Barrow, before then joining Northwich Victoria. In 2013, Toner moved to Stafford Rangers, then Burscough, before joining Ashton United in the 2014/15 campaign.
His next port of call was AFC Telford United in December 2015, and he has also had spells with Stafford Rangers, Stalybridge Celtic, Skelmersdale United and Warrington, before then joining Marine on February.
Bala had also shown their Welsh Premier ambition by signing experienced striker Les Davies from Connah’s Quay Nomads, ahead of the Europa League campaign.
The Lakesiders also confirmed this week that Mark Connolly has penned a new contract with the Lakesiders.
The midfielder will be starting his seventh full season with the Lakesiders, where he has appeared 191 (+31) times and scored 76 goals for the Club to date.
The Lakesiders begin their Europa League preparations with a friendly fixture against Dankse Bank Northern Ireland Champions Linfield on Saturday, 17 June.
Bala then travel to Belfast on Saturday, 24 June to face Northern Irish outfit Crusaders in a reverse of last season’s pre-season fixture, which saw The Hatchetmen come away as 3-0 winners.
