THE project to get a new playground for Machynlleth has received a cash boost.

Machynlleth Bowling Club has handed over a cheque for £800 towards developing a new playground in the town.

Future Play Machynlleth are a voluntary group aiming to provide a playground in the town which is accessible to children of all abilities.

Machynlleth Bowling Club continued its support of local organisations when members and friends held fundraising events in aid of Future Play Machynlleth, who are in the process of raising funds to enhance the children’s playground at Y Plas.

Mr Fleming said: “We were delighted with how the events went and thank all for their wonderful support.

“We also want to congratulate Future Play Machynlleth for their great commitment to providing better play opportunities for young people.”
