Safeflue Caernarfon and District League

BARMOUTH and Dyffryn United Seconds’ interest in the Gwynedd Safeflue Cup ended with a morale-shattering 6-3 defeat by second round visitors Felinheli.
The Wern Mynach hosts had scored first, through Kieran Williams after eight minutes, and were very much in contention at 1-1 when the half-time whistle sounded.
However, Felinheli rattled in five goals in the second half, despite two home replies.
Dan Griffith scored for United after 70 minutes and Ieuan Brooks after 72, but two goals from Rhys Parry, and singles from Dan Hughes, Aled Williams Griff John and Arwel Williams sealed victory.
Barmouth remain in second place in the Caernarfon and District League’s division two promotion race but front-runners Deganwy developed their lead to six points, albeit having played four more games, when they won 5-1 at Machno United.
Ashley Tomlinson converted two penalties for Deganwy, five minutes into each half, while Tom Roberts also scored twice in open play early in each period and Aaron Roberts was the other marksman.
Bangor University won 3-1 at Bethesda Athletic, thanks to David Broe and Simon Burgess netting midway in the first half, and Steve Heighway right at the end.
Meanwhile the Penrhyndeudraeth versus Pwllheli fixture was postponed.
Mynydd Llandygai, the division one second-placed side, missed out on a chance to make up ground on pacemakers Bangor City, as they lost 3-2 at home to Llanrug.
The Williams boys, Martin and Eifion, scored for Llanrug, after 28 and 65 minutes respectively, with Liam Robertson striking on 55, whereas Mynydd replied courtesy of a Luke Mabon strike and an own-goal.
Caernarfon Borough maintained their bid for honours with a 3-2 win at Mountain Rangers, thanks to Steve Tindall, Mark Williams and Dylan Peters scoring.
Meanwhile Waunfawr and Talysarn Celts were inseparable at 3-3 with six different played getting on the goalsheet.
