Gwyndaf takes honours on RAC

GWYNDAF Evans clinched first place on the 2011 Roger Albert Clark Rally last weekend. After a gruelling four days, Evans, of Dinas Mawddwy, with John Millington on the maps, stayed focused to take top honours. Leading from the first day, whilst others swapped places behind him, Evans brought home his Pirelli shod Viking Motorsport Ford Escort, almost eight minutes ahead of second-placed Tim Pearcey and Neil Shanks. The event started at Duncombe Park in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, with stages in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, and drivers navigated forest stages over 170 miles in four days.
