Concerns over Llani roundabout

THE state of a roundabout in Llanidloes has come under fire from the town’s local member.

The roundabout at Long Bridge Street is in a “disgraceful condition”, County Councillor Gareth Morgan has said.

In a letter to the Shire Manager for Highways at Powys County Council, Cllr Morgan has raised concerns that the poor condition of bollards on the roundabout situated at the entrance to the town is causing embarrassment to Llanidloes.

The bollards are said to be dirty and in need of replacement.

However the local authority has said that work needed on the roundabout had been put on hold as they were awaiting a decision from the town regarding the future of the structure.
