Journalist left for dead after beating with golf club

A LLANDDEWI BREFI journalist was left fighting for his life after allegedly being beaten over the head with a golf club and left for dead in an unused farm building.

Nathan Yates, who lives in Llanddewi Brefi, was rushed to hospital on Friday after being found by police with a fractured skull and serious facial injuries in a barn near his home.

It is believed he was subjected to the vicious attack last Wednesday and then left alone with his injuries in the barn for up to three days.

The 36-year-old former Cambrian News reporter was found by police after they were called out to a report of a domestic incident in the village.
