Gypsies seek to reassure over caravans plan
A GYPSY family has made a plea for understanding from villagers in Llangybi after a row broke out over their planning application for four static caravans on Maes Llety Cybi.
The application would allow Anya Houghton, her partner Mr Freeman and their five children to live on the land they have owned and camped on for 20 years.
They say it will simply be the equivalent of “a four-bedroom house with a spare room” for family and friends, and it will allow the family to live on their own land and give her children the stability they need for their education.
But opponents in the village say the plan would see huge numbers of strangers pulling up on the land and causing havoc in the village.
