INFAMOUS Aberystwyth-born jail-bird Charles Bronson, who has spent over 30 years in solitary confinement, has donated two sketches for auction to fund a holiday for assault victims Tirion Lewis and Miriam Evans.

Mr Bronson’s brother, Mark Peterson of Talybont, has been sent the drawings for auction, to help Tirion and Miriam enjoy a break abroad.

Tirion, of Penrhyncoch, was severely beaten by ex-boyfriend Wayne Fox in September 2009. And she is presently undergoing treatment at the Oliver Zangwill Centre for Neuropsychological rehabilitation in Cambridgeshire, where she is expected to stay for another three months.

And her best friend Miriam, of Trisant, also suffered serious, though not life-threatening, injuries at the hands of Fox.
