Dog walker's disgust at human faeces on footpaths

14 December 2011

A DOG walker in Aberaeron has called for action against the “poop-etrators” of a spate of incidents where human faeces were discovered this month on footpaths and in woods around the town.

Andy Firth regularly walks his dogs Ava and Lola in and around the town and has said that it is time the “disturbing” issue is resolved following similar problems earlier this year.

The unwelcome deposits have been found along the coastal path between Aberaeron and Aberarth, close to several of the paths between Aberaeron and Llanerchaeron and in the area’s woodland.

Mr Firth told Cambrian News that several of his fellow dog walkers have seen evidence of the “revolting behaviour” and that the general feeling was “enough is enough”.

“It is a disgusting and worrying problem,” he said. “I frequently encounter human faeces on our walks. I’m sure it’s human as there is often a piece of tissue or panty-liner placed neatly on top.”
