Work is suspended on site of former pub

15 February 2012

A CONTROVERSIAL development at the former Boar’s Head public house in Aberystwyth has been suspended, following an enforcement notice served by Ceredigion’s planning control officers.

Accountant Geraint Dafis is in the process of turning the old pub into 10 flats, but work has now stopped because council oficials say it is not in accordance with plans which were approved by the council’s planning committee.

This week, a spokesperson for Ceredigion County Council said: “I can confirm that the development at the former Boar’s Head site in Aberystwyth is not in accordance with the approved plans, and that an enforcement notice has been served on the developer.”
