£1,000 in the bag for town clock appeal

THE Machynlleth Town Clock Appeal has bagged a very welcome boost to its funds thanks to a local business.

Ian Snow donated £500 following the sale of reusable bags in the shop, which are decorated with an image of the clock.

More than £1,000 has been received in the last month from a number of sources.

Chairman of the town clock appeal, Machynlleth town cllr Glenda Jenkins said: “On behalf of Machynlleth Town Council I would like to thank Ian and his staff for their continued support of the town clock appeal.
“It is very much appreciated."
