Disabled driver thanks Good Samaritans after crash

A DISABLED man whose car was in collision with a bus this week said he wanted to thank the mystery good samaritans who came to his aid.

James Collier, 38, of Bro Enddwyn, Dyffryn Ardudwy, sustained a deep gash in his right arm and cuts and bruises to the whole of his left side after his vehicle collided with an Arriva service bus on the main A496 road last Tuesday afternoon.

The front driver’s side of his Audi sustained extensive damage, with the front wheel and driver’s door being ripped off in the crash.

James who suffers from HSP, Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, that affects his mobility and balance, said that the setting sun blinded him as he took a left-hand bend, on his way home from a disability access meeting.
