Man in heroin case to be sent to crown court

A FORMER Aberystwyth man charged with intent to supply drugs, following his arrest during a police investigation into the death of a teenager in Borth, has been committed to the Crown Court.

Ross Smith, aged 31, whose current address cannot be disclosed due to a Court Order, is accused of possessing heroin with intent to supply, possession of methadone - a heroin “substitute” - cannabis, and an unspecified Class A drug.

His arrest in April 2009 followed the death of 17-year-old Erin Lluan Jones, whose body was found at the Bardsey Project, Borth, on a Saturday morning in April 2009. The charges against Smith do not relate directly to the teenager’s death.
