Parent sentenced for verbally abusing teacher

A PARENT has been given a two-year conditional discharge by magistrates after she barged into a Meirionnydd school and verbally abused a teacher.

The incident happened in December last year, when the mother, who can’t be named for legal reasons, entered the grounds of Ysgol y Gader in Dolgellau, and verbally abused a teacher.

The case came to court at Dolgellau Magistrates Court on 4 February this year and she was charged with causing a nuisance and disturbance on school premises. The mother was also ordered to pay £85 costs.
