Students' big charity chill

Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Pwllheli students braved the cold weather and held a sponsored dip last Wednesday to raise money for Haiti.

The fund-raising was arranged by the Students’ Union. Pwllheli Student Union  Vice –President James Davies said: “We wanted to do something to raise money to buy a ShelterBox for a family in Haiti.

“A box can be purchased for £500 and it contains a tent large enough for a family of ten, and essentials such as blankets, cooking equipment and tools. 

“We wanted to do various activities throughout the afternoon so that every student had an opportunity to take part one way or another.”
