Woman attacked in Pwllheli
A WOMAN in her early 20s needed medical treatment after she was punched and kicked in the head in a late-night attack in a Pen Llyn town.
The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Sunday night, 7 March, when the 21-year-old woman was walking her dog along the gravel footpath next to Ysgol Glan-y-Môr grounds, in Pwllheli.
The woman was approached from behind by a man, and as he approached, the woman turned round and was verbally abused.
She was then punched in the face, and a scuffle occurred, with the woman being pulled to the ground by her hair.
She was then kicked in the head, before the man then ran off.
The police are appealing for witnesses and information about the attack, and have described the attacker as being approximately five foot eight tall with brown eyes. He was wearing a dark hooded top, dark jeans and blue and white trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pwllheli Police Station on 101, or Crimestoppers Wales anonymously on 0800 555 111.
