Loo prank used to pan council

JOKERS left a toilet propped in a lay-by in a rural area, thought to be a dig at Gwynedd Council’s plans to close more public toilets in Gwynedd.

The toilet, in a lay-by outside Llwyngwril which overlooks the north coast, also had a piece of lino at the base of the toilet to make it more appealing to users.

Luckily, although drivers stopped to muse the prop in the lay-by, the toilet was not used, and Councillor Louise Hughes called the council to remove it as soon as possible.

Councillor Hughes, who has been campaigning to keep public toilet facilities open in Meirionnydd, said she was on her way back from cleaning rubbish from Cregennan lake, near Dolgellau, when she spotted the toilet attracting attention from passers-by.
