Vandals frog-marched to shelter to clean up mess

SHAME-faced vandals in Aberaeron have been frog-marched back to a bus shelter which they pelted with eggs and rubbish just minutes after it was repainted, and forced to clean up their mess.

Two youths in the town were seen throwing eggs and litter at the shelter along the riverside by workmen who were at the site giving the shabby and vandalised shelters a much-needed lick of paint. And it was not even dry on the surface when the boys turned up and trashed the shelter.

But in a triumphant twist, police tracked down the offenders and made them return to the scene of the crime to clean up the mess in what town councillors are describing as a fantastic result in the fight against persistent vandalism.
