£12,000 Lampeter square revamp cost 'ridiculous'

A POSSIBLE £12,000 revamp for Lampeter’s Harford Square could be scaled down as councillors deem proposed costs as “ridiculous” and investigate completing the work themselves.

The town council was approached by Lowri Thomas, Ceredigion County Council’s street scene manager with a range of suggestions on how to brighten up the square.

Ms Thomas’ suggestions added up to around £12,000, meaning the town council would have to find £9,000 to go ahead with the scheme. The remaining £3,000 would be met by Ceredigion council.
