Lorry drivers spark lovers' tiff in Tywyn

RESIDENTS living along Lovers Lane in Tywyn are feeling less than friendly towards lorry-drivers being sent down the single track by satellite navigation systems.

Sat Nav systems show ‘Lovers Lane’, off the A493 near Tywyn, as a short-cut, but drivers unfamiliar to the area are unaware it is a narrow single-lane road.

Locals said this week it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt.

One resident has already been struck by a vehicle’s wing mirror and hurt his arm.
