Motorcyclist killed after collision with car
A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a collision with a car on a windy road between Barmouth and Dolgellau.
The collision happened shortly before 3pm on Tuesday on a sharp corner on the A496 near Glyndŵr Mill.
Police and an ambulance were called and tried to revive the rider, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was injured.
The man, believed to be in his 30s and from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was travelling towards Barmouth from Dolgellau when it is believed he misjudged the bend and was involved in a crash with the silver Mondeo travelling in the opposite direction. Police are waiting until the family have been informed before they release his name.
