Petition to extend bus service

TWO Dolgellau women have handed over a petition calling for a bus service from the town centre to a hard-to-reach housing estate.

The petition, by Sally Richards and friend Marilyn Wheatley, calls for a bus service to Uwch y Maes Estate, above Dolgellau district hospital, and the pair are hoping if they are successful, that the service could run to all estates on the outskirts of the town.

Sally said the service exists as far as the hospital drive, and she’s hoping it can be extended to serve residence living at Uwch y Maes.
