Samantha triumphs in Cob logo competition

THE latest milestone in organising the bicentennial celebration of the Cob in Porthmadog was launched last Friday.

The official logo, which will mark the 200th anniversary of the Cob, stretching from Minffordd to Porthmadog, was announced at the Rob Piercy Gallery in the town on Friday.

Students from the local college, Coleg Meirion Dwyfor, were given the task of designing the logo as part of their work. The winning logo will feature on the headed letters, compliment slips and Cob 200 web-site leading up to the main events next year.
