Approval advised for windfarm - with 65 conditions

COUNCILLORS will be advised to approve plans to build a windfarm with 12 turbines near Carno at a meeting to be held this Thursday (12 August).

The application for full planning permission at Mynydd yr Hendre and Mynydd Pistyll Du seeks to build 12 wind turbines, 380 feet high.

Powys planning department recommended that the Tirgwynt Wind Farm be approved subject to 65 conditions.

Carno Community Council has said in the report it supports the application: “As it will be of great advantage to the local farmers as they try to diversify from a struggling farming economy.”
