Town mourns 'one of life's true gentlemen'

TRIBUTES have been paid to a much-loved Newcastle Emlyn grandfather and county councillor who has died suddenly at the age of 72.

Cllr Haydn Jones had been the town’s member of Carmarthenshire County Council since 2004.

He was executive board member for technical services, and portfolio holder for waste management, transport and streetscene.

Cllr Jones, was married to Mair for over 40 years and had two children Aled and Gaynor, as well as six grandchildren.
