Just 3 customers for lunch thanks to mess!

ANGRY business people in an Aberystwyth town centre street are claiming that pavement work outside their premises is killing their summer trade.

Peter Lees, proprietor of the Rheidol Café, is heading the protests of businesses in Cambrian Street at the closure of pavements, for defective paving slabs to be replaced, at the height of the summer season.

Mr Lees, 66, said: “We were warned by Ceredigion County Council that the work on the pavements could take 12 weeks. But I can’t understand why it has to be done at the height of the summer season."
