After several weeks of wind and rain, forecasters are suggesting spring might bring 'warm weather' and 'abundant sunshine'.
AccuWeather’s long-range forecast for Europe, released this week, suggests that stormy weather will move further north between March and May, meaning Wales and the UK will enjoy much milder weather.
The report says that southern parts England and Wales as a whole will enjoy frequent warmth which will be accompanied by abundant sunshine, allowing people to spend more time outdoors than in recent years.
AccuWeather meteorologist Tyler Roys says: "Those who are spending time outside will have to endure an early start to allergy season as the prolonged warmth causes early budding and an increase in pollen."
Agriculture may also benefit from the warm and largely dry weather as farmers will be able to plant crops quicker than normal.
The warmth may turn into uncomfortable heat for some before the end of the season in May, with the potential of temperatures reaching 30C (86F).
For the near future however, a Met Office yellow warning remains in place this evening and tomorrow for heavy rain across much of North and Mid Wales.
