The Cambrian Line from Machynlleth to Aberystwyth and the Cambrian Coast Line from Machynlleth to Pwllheli remain closed today (Friday).

Trains have been cancelled since Wednesday night (11 March) when the line was damaged by flooding caused by high tides on the evenings of 11 and 12 March.

The Cambrian Coast Line remains closed for the rest of the day due to localised flooding between Barmouth and Harlech.

A rail replacement bus service is in operation between Machynlleth and Harlech, if needed they will go on to Pwllheli.

Network Rail Wales said: "Because of flooding, damage and high tides the line between Machynlleth - Pwllheli and Machynlleth - Aberystwyth is closed. Please check before you travel."
