Special ceramics day

MEIRIONNYDD’S premier potter is hosting a special ceramics day in north Wales. The Pottery Experience, held at the Neuadd Goffa, Betws y Coed on Saturday, 4 June, will showcase the finest pieces of the North Wales Potters (NWP) group. This will include the work produced by Jane Williams, star of last year’s Great British Pottery Throw Down. Jane, 40, of Dyffryn Ardudwy, wowed the judges and audiences alike as she progressed through the landmark pottery show creating a series of inspiring works of art. As well as meeting Jane, aspiring potters will have the opportunity to throw down and get their hands dirty making on the wheel and other clay activities. A spokesperson for the Pottery Experience described the forthcoming event as “a brilliant day of half-term fun for all of the family”. The event runs between 10am and 4pm, entry is free.
