A NEW British Heart Foundation group in New Quay has raised £3,000 for the charity.

The group arranged several events including a raffle and an auction.

Brenda James, who formed the BHF group to say thank you to the charity for helping her family, thanked everyone for their support and added: “We have such a good time when we organise events and we enjoy being part of a team and we have a great time as well.”

Jayne Lewis, BHF fundraising manager for south-west Wales, said: “I would like to say a big thank you to the New Quay group for organising events and raising funds for BHF Cymru.

"Too many lives are lost in Wales each year, and we’re determined to do everything we can to protect more families from this devastation.”
