Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, a housing association looking after over 6,000 homes, was recognised with a bronze award for its pet policies at RSPCA Cymru’s Community Animal Welfare Footprint (CAWF) awards held in Cardiff Bay.
This year, a record 16 awards were achieved by 14 organisations across Wales in four categories – stray dog provision, contingency planning, housing provision and animal establishment licensing.

Geraint Jones, neighbourhood services manager for Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd said: “We are delighted that the work we do in regards to our pet policy, and raising awareness amongst our tenants on being responsible pet owners, has been recognised as good practice by the RSPCA."
