THERE was a different venue for the December meeting, as the monthly meeting and Christmas Party were combined.

Newly-elected president Jan Cole welcomed members to The Cemlyn in Harlech for the last meeting of 2017. A brief business meeting, in which Jan reminded everyone to view The WI Life Magazine, with details also available on the WI website, to see a list of proposed resolutions for 2018.Voting will take place at the January meeting.

Special get well wishes were sent to members who were not well, and unable to attend.

Stella Calvert thanked everyone for her flowers and gift voucher received in recognition of 60 years membership with Harlech WI.

With the conclusion of all business matters, the party started with a glass of mulled wine, a two-course meal, followed by games, and everyone joining in with carols

Denise Hagan gave a vote of thanks to Jan, Geoff and all the staff at The Cemlyn for arranging the party, and providing a very enjoyable meal.

New members are welcome at meetings taking place in The Memorial Hall, on the second Wednesday of every month, starting at 7pm with a varied programme of events, a craft club, visits to lots of interesting places, and dining out, with an array of interesting guest speakers. Jan wished all members past and present best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
