St Idloes Church

THE return of the touring Russian Choir, Voskresenije (Resurrection Choir), on Wednesday, 6 November, at 7pm in St Idloes Church.

Tickets are £10 and refreshments will be served in the church hall during the interval.

Bingo

THERE will be bingo on Wednesday, 6 November at the rugby club in aid of Llanidloes Rugby Club Junior Section.

Doors open 7.30pm, eyes down 8pm, 50p entrance includes tea/coffee and biscuit.

Also, bingo on Wednesday, 13 November at the rugby club in aid of Llanidloes Croquet Club; eyes down 8pm, 50p entrance.

Pack a shoebox

SEND good news and great joy, drop off your shoebox at the Health Centre before 18 November, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm.

Royal British Legion Llanidloes Women’s Section

THE Royal British Legion Llanidloes Women’s Section invites you to a Service of Remembrance on Remembrance Sunday, 10 November.

Organisations, groups and clubs of the town are given notice that the parade will assemble on the High Street (top of town) at 10.20am with the parade setting off at 10.30am promptly.

Please ensure the Standard Bearer and Escorts have a poppy and change for the church collection.

The parade will then march to St Idloes Church, where Rev Alison Gwalchmai will hold a Service of Remembrance at the town’s war memorial at 11am for the Royal British Legion.

After the service, the parade will proceed to the District War Memorial at the town hall Cenotaph in Great Oak Street where wreaths from the town’s organisations will be laid and Standards presented for the Act of Homage.

All are invited to attend the above ceremonies.

Also if you would like to join the Royal British Legion Llanidloes Women’s Section for the annual Act of Homage at the 11th hour, on Monday, 11th day of the 11th month for the two minutes silence, you would be most welcome.
