Cytun churches together
THERE will be a Cytun Advent Service on Sunday, 3 December at 6pm in Chatwood, 6 Longbridge Street, Llanidloes. A prayerful reflection on the theme ‘expectation and waiting’. Refreshments afterwards. All welcome.
Tabletop sale
THERE will be a Table Top Sale at the Llanidloes Community Centre on Saturday, 2 December, 9am-12.30pm, setting up at 8.30am. It is in aid of the Community Centre Roof Fund. To book a table please phone Kelly on 07540 986300 or e mail [email protected].
Refugee support
COFFEE Morning in aid of refugees, Saturday, 18 November, 10am-12.30pm at Chatwood, Longbridge Street. The money raised will go to contacts in Leominster, who continue to reach out to the refugees dispersed across France and further afield.
Morning of mindfulness
THERE will be a Morning of Mindfulness at Chatworth House, Longbridge Street, Llanidloes, on Sunday, 19 Novembe, 10am-1pm. Meditation followed by a talk by Thich Nhat Hahn, a walking meditation, a Dharma discussion and a Mindful Lunch, (Please bring a vegetarian dish to share). Donations welcome (to cover cost of room). Bingo
THERE is a Bingo Session at Llanidloes Rugby Club on Wednesday, 8 November at 7.30pm, eyes down at 8pm, 50p entry for adults includes tea/coffee and a biscuit. Proceeds are in aid of the Llanidloes Christmas Lights.

fundraising concert
LLANIDLOES Community Centre hosts a grand fundraising concert on Friday, 24 November, 7.30pm; CÔr Meibion Machynlleth perform, with Llidiartywaen and Trefeglwys YFCs, Ian and Roland Davies and Rob Evans. The compere will be Roger Hughes. Tickets £10 from Llanidloes Area RWAS Committee members, or 01686 414951 / 07929069092. Proceeds to RWAS Montgomeryshire feature County Appeal 2018
Companion dog show
NEWTOWN and District Canine Society are holding a companion dog show, in aid of Finding Forever Homes, at the community centre, Mount Lane, on 19 November. Entries from 11am, judging from noon. £1.50 per dog per class. Judge Sue Pulsford, pedigree and novelty classes. Refreshments available and raffle prizes. Enquiries to 01547 529776.

Rotary Eye Project
LLANIDLOES Rotary Club welcomed guest speaker, Mike Griffiths to their latest meeting.
The past president of Oswestry Rotary Club visited Llanidloes to talk about the Rotary Eye Project.
There are over 40 million men, women and children worldwide who cannot afford to have their sight restored and Rotary has been instrumental over the years providing support.
Mike was thanked for his informative speech by Rotarian Huw Morris on behalf of the club.
