Country Music Night

CANOLFAN Pennal are staging an evening for all country music lovers on Saturday, 28 October.

The evening features popular local due, Johnny and Hywel who have performed all over mid and north Wales for a number of years.

Entrance fee includes refreshments.

Tuesday Club

MEMBERS of Pennal Tuesday Club very much enjoyed the return of Jane Hoy and Helen Sandler to their guest speakers’ slot on Tuesday, 10 October.

The ladies, who act out their presentations in period costume, accompanied by a set of PowerPoint slides, had on offer this time a piece entitles ‘Dear Sis’. The story is of the relationship in the 1800s between north Wales poet Margaret Sandbach and world-famous sculptor John Gibson.
