Mother’s Day market
ON Mother’s Day, 31 March, Penrhyncoch Village Hall is hosting a Mother’s Day Market, organised by Clare Larke and Laura James, with proceeds going to Penrhyncoch and Trefeurig Recreation and Sports Association (PATRASA).
Doors are open from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Entry is free with a free glass of Prosecco for the ladies.
Co-organiser Laura James said: “We are trying to help raise £1,000 to repair the decking and fence around the slide in Penrhyncoch Park.”
Ladies can find plenty to pamper themselves with on stalls. For a more hands on experience there’s Reiki and crystal healing and facials and foot Reflexology. Handmade jewellery, and cards and frames provide those unique gifts and for fragrance there’s scented candles.
Or if you prefer something a little more naughty, the cakes on offer will ensure that you can resist anything except temptation.
If you wish, a baby and wedding photographer will be on hand to capture any special family moments. There will also be clothing available to buy.
The youngsters will be kept entertained with face painting while there is also a free crafting table where those special, hand made gifts can be fashioned for mum or granny.
There will also be a beauty lucky dip and a raffle. Laura James added: “The aims of the association are to provide fun, safe spaces for children to play.
“PATRASA has recently installed a roundabout which can be used by young people in wheelchairs. “We hope that children of all ages will bring along their mums and grandmums to have a lovely afternoon out, support local businesses and help raise funds for Penrhyncoch Park and future PATRASA projects.” Or to donate money to PATRASA, go to https://www.gofundme. com/help-penrhyncoch-park
