Gardening Club

THE first meeting of the new gardening year was held on Monday, 9 May, in the Church Hall. Unfortunately the speaker, Paul O’ Byrne, head gardener at Plas Newydd, had to cancel his visit.We wish Paul a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him next year.Fortunately, president Guy Lloyd stepped in at very short notice and ensured a successful and informative evening, with contributions from some very knowledgeable members.

The summer show was held in the village hall in Dyffryn on Wednesday, 10 August and, despite much unseasonal weather of late, was a spectacular, colourful success and a great credit to the talents of their many local gardeners.
