Ceredigion has recorded one case of coronavirus today.

44 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified across Wales today according to official statistics.

No new deaths have been recorded however, leaving the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Wales at 5,560.

Ceredigion has recorded one case today along with Pembrokeshire and Powys, while Gwynedd and Carmarthenshire have recorded two cases each.

Over a seven-day rolling period between 8 and 14 May, Ceredigion recorded five cases, giving the county an infection rate of 6.9 cases per 100,000 population, with the national rate standing at 9.58 cases per 100,000.

Gwynedd has recorded 10 cases over the same period and has an infection rate of 8.0.

Carmarthenshire has an infection rate of 9.0 after recording 17 cases, which is still lower than the national average.

Pembrokeshire recorded six cases and has an infection rate of 4.8 with Powys recording seven cases and having an infection rate of 5.3.
