OVER 4,500 new cases of coronavirus and 13 deaths have been recorded across Wales over the weekend.
The latest figures released this lunch time by Public Health Wales cover a 48-hour period up to 9am on Sunday.
In that time, 4,520 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded across Wales, with the national rate of infection rising slightly to 482.1 after nearly a month on the downward trend.
Ceredigion has the lowest number of daily cases for a public authority in Wales with 38 new cases being recorded over the 48-hour period.
Carmarthenshire recorded 287 new cases with 166 being recorded in Pembrokeshire.
Thirteen deaths have been recorded across Wales today, with three coming in the Hywel Dda Health Board area of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
These new deaths take the area’s total number of Covid-19 related fatalities to 593.
Two deaths have been recorded in the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board region of north Wales, taking its total to 1,089.
No new deaths have been recorded in Powys, with the total number of deaths remaining at 80.
