OVER 2,500 new cases and nine deaths have been recorded across Wales today according to the latest coronavirus figures.
Figures released by Public Health Wales this lunch time show that 2,583 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Wales between 9am on Thursday and 9am on Friday.
41 of those new cases were recorded in Ceredigion with Carmarthenshire recording 152 and Pembrokeshire, 53.
Powys recorded 132 new cases over that period with Gwynedd recording 66.
None of the nine deaths recorded came in the Hywel Dda, Betsi Cadwaladr or Powys Health Board regions of Wales.
Hywel Dda Health Board, which covers Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, has recorded 578 deaths since the start of the pandemic, with Betsi Cadwaladr in north Wales recording 1,078 deaths and Powys recording 78.
Rolling seven-day infection rates, which cover between 26 October and 1 November showed that Borth and Bontgoch had an infection rate of 900.5 cases per 100,000 population with Bala and Mawddwy having a rate of 949.4.
The national rate of infection currently stands at 546.8.
