Over 1,100 new coronavirus cases have been reported across Wales today, according to the latest Public Health Wales figures which account for a 48-hour period.
Two new Covid-related deaths have also been recorded in the data which covers a 48-hour period up to 9am on Sunday. These take the total death toll since the start of the pandemic to 5,597.
Of the 1,130 cases reported in Wales, 10 were in Ceredigion, 36 in Carmarthenshire and 26 in Pembrokeshire.
The national rate of infection in Wales, which is taken from a rolling seven-day period, today covering 15 July to 21 July, stands at 169.6 cases per 100,000 population.
The rate in Powys remains higher however, as it currently stands at 185.0.
The rate is lower than the national average in Ceredigion (121.1), Pembrokeshire (117.6), Carmarthenshire (98.0) and Gwynedd (99.6).
As of the week ending 18 July, 513.154 doses of vaccine have been administered by Hywel Dda, 910,379 by Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board in the north, and 194,451 by Powys Teaching Health Board.
