Rotary AGM
LLANIDLOES Rotary held its AGM on Wednesday, 15 June, at the Red Lion Hotel. Vice-president and honorary secretary John Cradduck chaired the meeting in the absence of the current president Peter McCready who has proudly been appointed as an assistant district governor. Donations were the high-light of the evening generating much discussion on so many worthy causes, with £2,200 being allocated. This amount, added to the money already donated throughout this current Rotary year, total £9,107. The club understands that this fantastic amount is down to the huge generosity of the community and the support they show in every event the Rotary are involved in. With the Rotary Across Wales Walk complete, Llanidloes’ joint efforts with Newtown and Machynlleth will hopefully see more money made available for future good causes. With July just around the corner, the club is looking forward to hosting the annual Concert in the Park, which is free to all, however any donations are gratefully received, as they will as always find their way back to great causes that need them.
