A CEREDIGION man has cooked a three-course dinner in memory of his late wife Chris in order to raise funds for farming charity, the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

Stephen Hunt, who is president of RABI’s Ceredigion county committee, raised £1,138, thanks to the support of family, friends and fellow RABI committee members at the event held at Aberaeron Rugby Club.

Chris Hunt was a stalwart of RABI’s Ceredigion committee who sadly passed away in November 2016.

One of her final wishes was for the gentlemen of the Ceredigion committee to take charge of the cooking and prepare a meal for all the ladies.

Top quality local Welsh produce was generously donated by committee members and local businesses, including Aberaeron butcher Owain Peckover and Daioni Organic.

RABI chairman Malcolm Thomas sportingly assisted by waiting on tables throughout the evening.

Numerous raffle prizes and auction items were donated by members of the Ceredigion committee along with a prize voucher from Cwmtydu Café.

Committee member Dai Davies of Evans Bros took charge of the auction. Harmoni, a newly formed female quartet, also performed a variety of popular songs on the night.
