Women born in the 1950s and their supporters from across west Wales congregated at Poppit Sands to highlight their campaign for pension justice.

Artist Marc Treanor drew the outline of a 40-metre wide WASPI logo in the sand which the women filled in with rakes to create a stunning visual image, visible from miles away.

They were joined by MP Ben Lake and Anne Keen, co-founder of the national WASPI campaign, who had travelled down from Merseyside.

Ceredigion WASPI co-ordinator Pamela Judge, who organised the event, said: “It was a perfect day from start to finish.

“Not only did we remind people that our campaign continues, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!”
