Students from Aberystwyth University’s International Politics department have visited the National Assembly for Wales, and questioned a panel of AMs.
AM Elin Jones and representatives from other parties welcomed the students to Cardiff Bay, and answered questions on a wide range of topics, including the forthcoming European Union referendum.
A straw poll of the students revealed a significant majority in favour of remaining within the EU.
Miss Jones said: ”It was interesting to note that polls on attitudes to the European Union – which tend to find that younger people are most committed to EU membership – was reflected in our discussion.”
Second-year student Sam Shenton said: “It was a great opportunity for us to visit the National Assembly, and take part in the panel discussion with the AMs.”
