Aberystwyth Rotary Club has presented several cheques, totalling £4,400, from its Christmas collection to a range of local charities.

The funds were allocated as follows: Aberystwyth & District Young Carers, £700; DASH, £700; Penparcau Forum, £700; HAHAV, £700; Welsh Air Ambulance Row for Ned Appeal, £300; The Care Society, £200; Coleg Ceredigion, £200; Ysgol Feithrin Trefeurig, £100; Aberystwyth Silver Band, £100; and Côr Meibion Aberystwyth, £100.

The cheques were presented by club president Michael Deaville and assisted by John Harries, chair of the community and vocational committee.
