A TRAWSFYNYDD man has landed a leading role at Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales.

As market development manager, Rhys Llywelyn will oversee the work of the red meat levy board in promoting PGI Welsh Lamb, PGI Welsh Beef and pork from Wales in both the UK and export markets.

Originally from Llanllwni in Carmarthenshire and now living in Trawsfynydd, Rhys brings a wide range of experience to the role.

His career has spanned the private and public sectors and independent consultancy; including event management, marketing Wales overseas, and working with clients in many parts of the world.

“The red meat brands we have in Wales are very strong, and we have dedicated producers and a perfect environment to produce meat of the highest quality,” said Rhys.
