OUTRAGED Llanbedr residents claim they have been “hoodwinked” into accepting a bypass without proper consultation.The county council has been accused of using “cloak and dagger” tactics to press ahead with a multi-million-pound road which will direct traffic away from the village and its businesses.
Although the council is adamant it consulted with the public, some locals in the village suggest that any communication from the local authority was “very vague” and far from transparent.
Tony Newbery, who has lived in the area for decades, said he was dismayed by the council’s actions.
