Gwynedd Council is urging businesses to look out for a new funding package from the Welsh Government to help those affected by Covid-19 regulations.

New restrictions were introduced in Wales on 4 December and the Welsh Government is offering financial assistance to businesses directly affected.

Councillor Ioan Thomas, Gwynedd Council’s Cabinet Member for Finance, said: "The fund will be open on the 14 December 2020 so it is vital Gwynedd businesses familiarise themselves and sign up for the support if needed to which they are entitled immediately."

Councillor Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council’s Cabinet Member for the Economy, said: “We understand that the business community is currently facing a challenging period. It is therefore very important that companies receive the latest information and register if necessary so that they receive this financial support from the Welsh Government - and to do so as soon as possible.

"If you are running a business in Gwynedd, I would encourage you to visit www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru/BusinessCOVID19 regularly for the latest developments, sign up for the Council’s business support newsletter and follow @Gwynedd Business on Twitter.”
